Event Details

Festivals and cultural celebrations for Chinese New Year in Hawaii will span a couple of weeks throughout Honolulu’s Chinatown.

The lunar New Year officially begins on February 16, 2018 — the year of the Dog — but make sure to mark your calendar for February 9 and 10, and celebrate this spring festival with Chinese Chamber of Commerce of Hawaii at the Chinatown Cultural Plaza Pavilion.

Food, restaurants, jewelry and gift shop merchants come together to celebrate the Lunar New Year in the center courtyard. Always plenty of Chinese lion dancing, music and drums as well as traditional foods from Chinatown Cultural Plaza’s 20 restaurants and bakeries — dumplings, noodles, jai, and dim sum — for wealth, happiness and long life.

Make reservations now for a dinner with family and friends, and bring good luck to your 2018.
